  • Difference between sintered and semi-metallic disc pads

    SINTERED -  Great for DH/Freeride/Enduro

    • Longer life than semi-metal but with slightly less power
    • Superior hight temp performance up to 850°
    • Takes significantly longer to bed-in

    SEMI-METAL - Great for XC/Trail/Urban

    • Longer life than organic
    • Fantastic modulation
    • Great in all weathers
    • Much quieter than sintered
    • Quick to bed-in

  • Differences of the Fibrax Rim pads

Fibrax Black is the ideal pad for everday use. Black provides a hard wearing, rim friendly surface with excellent modulation in both wet and dry conditions.

Fibrax Red is a softer compound than Black, resulting in improved braking power leading to a slightly shorter life with reduced modulation.

Fibrax Xtreme is perfect for wet and wintery conditions. Our unique formula ensures a hardwearing pad that provides excellent braking and modulation when you need it most.

Fibrax Green has been specially formulated for braking on ceramic rims to provide superior performance under all conditions.

Fibrax Grey is the ultimate pad for Carbon rims offering excellent stopping power both wet and dry.

  • Toe-in

    • High-performance material for alloy rims.
    • Automatic toe-in feature – reduces noise, provides superior power and gives more control than ever before.
    • Improved fit for use on Shimano, SRAM, TRP and all other major road caliper systems.
  • Cable specifications

    GALVANISED

These cables are hot dip galvanised for superior corrosion resistance and pre-stretched for consistent, predictable performance.

    STAINLESS

Fibrax stainless steel cables offer superior strength and corrosion resistance for a virtually maintenance free cabling solution.

    PTFE

PTFE has one of the lowest coefficient of friction of any known material. Our range of PTFE coated cables are durable and virtually friction free.

    DIE DRAWN SLICK

The ultimate cable in our range. Taking the already good stainless wire we pass it through dies and under a layer of oil. This pulls its outer strands flat, significantly reducing friction without need for extra coating. The main benefits are:

    • Self lubricating
    • Uniform surface
    • Pre-stretched
    • Super low friction
    • Extended life expectancy

  • Hydraulic hose

FIBRAFLEX STAINLESS STEEL BRAIDED HYDRAULIC HOSE

    • Super flexible construction allows better routing on the cycle
    • Rated to 13,000psi (89,000 kPa) for superior performance
    • Tough PVC outer protects both hose and frame.
    • Suitable for use with all common hydraulic fluids
  • 2p brake cable housing

Fibrax Brake 2P Cable Housing utilises a hard wearing, low friction, waterproof inner liner while a close coiled shell ensures low compression and excellent protection for your cables. A hard wearing polymer is used to protect the whole assembly, ensuring low maintenance and precise braking for years to come.

  • SP4 Gear Cable Housing

Fibrax Gear SP4 Cable Housing utilises the same hard wearing, low friction inner liner as our 2P Housing for precise control, while our helical shell construction with two-layer protection offers a strong, zero compression system while keeping overall weight to a minimum and improving weatherproofing and durability.

  • cable ends

Fibrax fit a wide selection of cable ends each designed to perfectly suit its application. Die cast from zinc, our cable ends offer a weatherproof fitting with a pull-off force which is in excess of the braking strain for the cable to which it is fitted. Common fittings are shown below to aid identification, if the fitting you need is not shown please contact your Fibrax distributor for a full list.
